Britney Spears speaks out after conservatorship ends: ‘Best day ever’

Britney Spears is ‘excited’ to make music again, but it’s not ‘top priority’

Britney Spears celebrated her first “amazing” weekend out from under her conservatorship by going out to dinner with her fiancé, Sam Asghari, and toasting to the future.

“I actually got my first glass of champagne ? at the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever seen last night,” the pop star, 39, wrote on Instagram on Monday morning.

Asghari, 27, shared video on his own Instagram of the couple jamming to music in the car.

“Somebody’s real happy we’re going to dinner,” the personal trainer said as Spears danced to Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It” in the passenger seat.

Spears added that she doesn’t plan on stopping the celebration at one glass of champagne.

“I’m celebrating my freedom and my B day for the next two months,” she continued on her own account. “I mean after 13 years … I think I’ve waited long ENOUGH !!!!”

Spears, who will turn 40 on Dec. 2, also took a moment to thank her attorney and her fans for helping her get her life back.

“I’m so happy my lawyer Mathew Rosengart came into my life when he did … he has truly turned my life around … I’m forever thankful for that !!!!” she wrote. “What a sight seeing so many people celebrating my victory …. I love my fans so much … so thank you ?!!!!⁣”

Unfortunately for Spears — and her legal team — the fight isn’t quite over just yet.

Now that the conservatorship has officially ended, the “Toxic” singer’s team is hoping to keep her life going forward out of the hands of her former conservator, dad Jamie Spears.

There’s also the matter of a five-year restraining order against her former associate, Sam Lutfi, that is still in effect. It was signed in 2019 after Spears’ mother Lynne contended Lutfi had meddled in the conservatorship.

As for the musical side of Britney’s life, she is definitely interested in making new music and performing again but, as Page Six exclusively reported, it’s just not a “top priority” for her at the moment.
