Since so much time has passed since the release of the original movie, some things will be a smidge different for Legally Blonde‘s third installment. For starters, we’re getting a new team of writers to work on the plot, and Reese is having a hand in production, which could only mean great things are ahead. We have a release date—finally!
According to Variety, Legally Blonde 3 is set to release in theaters on May 20, 2022 (should everything go as planned), which the original cast confirmed in a reunion video. Mark! Your! Calendars!
It is worth mentioning that this date was significantly bumped up from the one MGM gave us a lifetime ago, which we’ll get into right about now…
The film was supposed to come out in 2020.
