He left women swooning from the moment of his first bare-chested scything scene in BBC drama Poldark.
Sadly for his fans, it’s clear that star Aidan Turner only has eyes for one girl. The Irish actor looked smitten as he and American actress Caitlin FitzGerald enjoyed a romantic al fresco dinner in Rome.
The couple, both 37, have reportedly been dating since 2018 after filming fantasy movie The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot.

They were pictured gazing into each other’s eyes and holding hands across the table at Pierluigi fish restaurant in the Italian capital.
Turner and Miss FitzGerald, whose late grandfather Desmond was a deputy director of the CIA during the Kennedy administration, left the restaurant with their arms wrapped around each other.
As they walked, Turner also paused to give Miss FitzGerald a kiss on the neck.
Turner split with artist Nettie Wakefield, 30, in June 2017. Before that he was in five-year relationship with fellow actress Sarah Greene. They separated in 2015. Caitlin meanwhile has dated Welsh actor Michael Sheen.
The actor is in Rome filming his new drama series Leonardo, in which he plays the renaissance artist.

Cast and crew of forthcoming biographical drama, returned to work on June 15th after filming ground to a halt following the spread of coronavirus COVID-19.
The show charts the artist’s life from childhood to becoming one of the world’s most beloved geniuses of art and science.
Born in 1452, Leonardo is one of the greatest individuals of the last millennium, he is known primarily for his contributions to the art world, including paintings like the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.

During the Rennaisance he dabbled in invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leonardo will ‘unlock the mystery’ behind Da Vinci’s genius as well as explore a tantalising secret in his life.
The new series was created by The Man In The High Castle showrunner Frank Spotnitz and Sherlock writer Steve Thompson, the show will be directed by Daniel Percival and Alexis Sweet.
Leonardo is currently set for release in 2021, but has yet to find a distributor in either the UK or the USA.
