Pressure mounts for Cristy Sharp on The Great British Bake Off
Great British Bake Off star Cristy Sharp has addressed the moment she struggled with a challenge that left her tearful.
This week the bakers tackled Botanical Week hoping to win the title of Star Baker with their floral fare and survive another week in the tent.
This week’s episode (October 31) saw Cristy give in to the heat of the kitchen after being crowned Star Baker last week.
The contestant’s show stopper started to go wrong, including the collapse of one of her cakes, leading her to take a temporary exit out of the tent to gather her composure. The emotional baker didn’t give up and tried to complete her creation when she returned to the kitchen.
While the result was a far cry from her previous efforts with judge Paul Hollywood admitting it was “a bit of a mess”, he was quick to add that the taste was still good as he praised her tenacity for carrying on.
