AceShowbiz –Bam Margera is not running away. The “Jackass” actor reportedly turned himself in to Pennsylvania State Police on Thursday morning, April 27, three days after authorities announced they issued a warrant for his arrest.
Police spokesperson Myles Snyder told Page Six that the 43-year-old troubled star surrendered at the Avondale station, which is the precinct that was conducting the initial investigation. The communications director added that the he was then “preliminarily arraigned” by Judge Albert Iacocca at a local district court and bail was set at $50,000 “unsecured.”
Bam’s attorney Michael van der Veen, meanwhile, informted the outlet that his client pleaded not guilty and will be undergoing a drug and alcohol evaluation as “many defendants have to [do] when out on bail.” While he’s not in custody, the MTV alum is set to return to court on May 25 for another preliminary hearing.
Snyder stated Bam is unlikely to go missing again because he knows the “consequences of his alleged actions” since he turned himself in. As for Michael, the lawyer denied that Bam was ever “on the run,” adding that his client quickly turned himself in once he was aware of the arest warrant.
Bam is facing six different charges. They include one count of simple assault, one count of harassment and four counts of terroristic threats with the intention to terrorize another.
