Demi Lovato has finally spoken out about those engagement rumours after fans thought they overheard them calling their boyfriend, Jutes, fiancé.
For some context, the 30 year old has been in a relationship with the fellow musician for around a year and a half now, and the pair only seem to be going from strength to strength.
However, recently, fans made the mistake of thinking the pair were taking it to the next level, thanks to an innocent blunder made by Demi at one of their shows.
It came as the singer dedicated one of their songs to Jutes, but accidentally slipped up on their words while gushing over him.
“My f… my boyfriend,” Demi stumbled, leading fans to believe they were actually about to say the word fiancé. But hardcore Demi fans were left gutted when they cleared everything up – taking to Instagram to deny the engagement rumours to their 156 million followers.
“If I was engaged, I'd announce it!!!!!” the Cool for the Summer singer exclaimed. "I went to say favourite person and glitched and said boyfriend instead,” they continued, before adding that they're very much “still obsessed w @jutesmusic and he is both my fffffffavorite person and boyfriend!!!"
It comes as for his birthday back in March, the Stone Cold singer dedicated a post to him, sharing a carousel of sweet photos of the pair together.
“My sweet angel – it’s officially your birthday!!! I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate you because I couldn’t be more in love with your gorgeous, funny, sexy, talented self,” they captioned the post.
Demi also added they've waited their “whole life to find” Jutes, and that they “can’t wait to celebrate so many more birthdays together.” “You’re a literal dream come true and I’m so grateful to call you mine,” they continued.
Jutes has also featured Demi on his grid a fair few times, declaring his love for them in each post. Back in February for Valentine’s Day, he dropped snaps and footage of the two, and called Demi his “best friend twin flame soulmate sugar pie sweet pea honeybun ladybug dream girl.”
“Ur the sweetest hottest funniest weirdest most talented human on earth and i’m very lucky u choose to spend ur time w me,” he added.
