Damn that coronavirus, but all the credit in the world to the moms, dads, and families stuck indoors and getting super-creative with fun self-quarantine activities right now!
As we move towards more than two weeks of national social distancing and more self-isolation than we care to think about, people (especially kids) are getting pretty antsy. It’s understandable, especially as everyone is stuck at home and indoors as the weather starts to get warmer in many places around the United States — but fortunately, that’s not keeping anyone from enjoying life.
Clearly beyond bored to be stuck inside and not at Disneyland, theme park fan Jordan Leigh Richard and her fam put together the most memorable Splash Mountain recreation ever in their backyard, posting the amazing video to TikTok.
Five children star in the clip — dressed in ponchos and all — as they sit in a line on the grass in between two logs, mimicking the carved-out “tree” boat that carries park-goers through the actual ride. At the big moment, the group mimics the steep plunge down to the water below, getting doused from off-camera to perfectly capture the experience. The whole thing is HIGHlarious… they recreated it so perfectly!

Ha!!! Absolutely loving the originality! The freeze-frame shot at the end is just priceless, too… they seriously thought of everything!
A second family offered up their own take on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at the park, too — nearly a shot-for-shot perfect remake of everything you see while going through Captain Jack Sparrow’s world!

Obviously everybody’s got a lot of time on their hands now to set up stuff like this, but still, the creativity is off the charts!
Sometimes you’ve just gotta do what you gotta do when you’re stuck at home and can’t go anywhere, ya know?! Making the most of quarantine and social distancing, and role modeling family fun for us all! Love it!
