Of all the mother and daughter duos out there, Kylie Jenner and Stormi Webster are one of the world’s favorites. The two share a picture-perfect dynamic and have practically been inseparable ever since Jenner gave birth to Stormi in February 2018. The Kylie Cosmetics mogul has shared many adorable moments with her daughter over the years, but arguably nothing tops this latest offering. In a video posted to social media on May 11, she and Stormi participated in a viral candy challenge that has the Internet swooning over the 2-year-old.
What is the candy challenge?
The challenge started on Tik Tok and has taken off across many other social media platforms in recent weeks. It starts with a parent secretly setting up a camera and then sitting a bowl of candy in front of their kid(s). The parent tells them they can have some but not until the parent comes back from completing a task of some sort. They walk away and return to see if their child(ren) followed the rules or not.

If you haven’t seen it, the video is on Jenner’s Instagram page. It begins with Jenner placing a bowl of M&Ms in front of Stormi and telling the toddler that she can have three when she returns from the bathroom.
“I’m gonna put the chocolates right here, OK? You can only have three of them. I’m gonna give you three of them,” Jenner says in the clip. But once Stormi tries to dig in, she stops her. “But wait! You have to wait until mommy comes back. I have to go to the bathroom. So let me go to the bathroom and then you can have it, OK?” she asked, to which Stormi said: “OK.”
Before she heads off, Jenner makes Stormi promise once again to wait for her. Stormi agrees but begins to grow anxious after a few moments pass. “Oooh! M&Ms…” she says, jumping towards the bowl. But after remembering her promise to Jenner, Stormi sits back and starts to chant “patience.” She only dug into the bowl when her mom came back into the room.
Fan reactions to the candy challenge
Fans are seriously stunned by Stormi’s obedience and hit the comment section to share their thoughts. Her name had even started to trend on Twitter on the morning of May 12 due to the challenge.
One tweet said: “STORMI IS SO CUTE PLS MY HEART MELTED.”
“Stormi saying ‘patience’ to herself [is] the cutest thing i’ve ever seen,” read another.
Other people noted that things would have never happened that way if they tested their children, including Kim Kardashian West who wrote on Instagram: “This would NOT be the case w Chi! Or especially Saint.”
Another fan posted a failed candy challenge where a kid dug into a bowl of chocolate almost immediately after promising not to. “Shea is obviously less obedient then stormi,” read the caption.

But in all seriousness, Stormi’s patience here really is astounding. Jenner should be proud.
