Gigi Hadid’s dad Mohamed's interesting response to pregnancy news

Gigi Hadid’s pregnancy has reportedly been confirmed by her mum Yolanda, but her father Mohamed was a bit less eager to discuss the news.

The real estate developer explained that he still needed to ‘digest’ the reports that his daughter is having a child with Zayn Malik and try to ‘get used to a lot of things.’

When asked about the news by Al Jadeed TV, the father-of-five replied: ‘Normally I don’t talk about family affairs in the public, so let’s leave it alone for now.

‘I have to get used to a lot of things, so let’s keep that conversation for the next time.’

He then added: ‘Let me digest it and talk to her first ‘cause I’m not sure if it’s real or not. If she is, I’ll be very happy just as long as the baby is healthy and she’s healthy.

‘That’s all I care [about]. I’ll be very proud of her if she has one. As of now, I’m not sure, so that’s why I can’t give an answer.’

Meanwhile, Yolanda is reported to have said she is ‘so excited’ at the thought of becoming a grandmother.

The supermodel, 22, is rumoured to be expecting her first child with boyfriend Zayn.

Neither she or Zayn have publicly commented on the speculation, but The Mirror reports Yolanda spoke to Dutch publication RTL Boulevard and said that she was ‘shocked’ but ‘so excited’.

‘I’m excited to become a grandmother in September, especially after I lost my mom so recently. But this is the beauty of life.’

‘One soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed,’ Yolanda said.

Yolanda’s mother Ans van den Herik passed away aged 78 last year.

Gigi and Zayn were not together at the time, and she was supported by Tyler Cameron, who she is thought to have briefly dated, at her grandmother’s funeral in September 2019.

Gigi later reconciled her relationship with Zayn, who she has been dating on and off since 2015, in December and the couple confirmed they were back together in January, earlier this year.

Reports claim the couple are ‘expecting a baby girl’ and Gigi is already 20 weeks into her pregnancy.

Fans are convinced that Gigi’s 25th birthday celebrations had actually been a gender reveal party, as they noticed the strings of her birthday balloons were coloured both blue and pink in snap she shared to Instagram.
