Gogglebox star Ellie Warner's boyfriend is still fighting for his life after being hit by a car.
Nat Eddleston was hit by a car during a night out with friends on Friday March 18 and is still in hospital after receiving substantial injuries from the crash.
He is said to be in a critical but stable condition after reportedly suffering two collapsed lungs and a broken neck from the accident.
Hairdresser Ellie, 31, is thought to have been at his side throughout his time in hospital, although she has not commented publicly on the accident.
The star is being supported by Channel 4 bosses and her co-stars as she takes some time away from Gogglebox following the crash.
Ellie and her sister Izzi were absent from last week's show, leading fans to send the family thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Sad and worried for Gogglebox's popular sister duo as they noticed their disappearance from the show Friday night, fans flocked to Twitter to give their support.
"Thinking of Ellie at this time," one devastated viewer wrote.
Another fan shared: "My thoughts are with Nat and Ellie."
"Missing Ellie and Izzie tonight. Sending love to them all and get well wishes to Ellie’s boyfriend Nat," a third person posted.
While a fourth fan said: "I really hope Ellie and her partner Nat are doing ok following his accident."
An insider has claimed that the sisters, who joined Gogglebox in 2015, have been told they can “take all the time they need” away from the show as Nat recovers from his injuries.
A source told The Sun: "Channel 4 take duty of care really seriously.
"Obviously Ellie and Izzi are two of the most loved regulars on the show but it wouldn't be right for them to have to film a light hearted show when Nat is in such a critical condition.
"Producers have made it clear there is no pressure to return to filming and they can take all the time they need."
When approached by OK!, a spokesperson for Channel 4 declined to comment.
A family member, who did not want to be identified, previously told the publication about the accident: “Nat is in intensive care with a broken neck, broken back, two collapsed lungs and possible brain damage.
"He is on a life support machine and all the family and Ellie are obviously very worried for him.”
While a separate insider shared: "She has barely left the hospital since this happened and Nat is getting brilliant care and treatment.
"At the moment they are living hour by hour and just praying that things get better."
