Irina Shayk has spoken candidly about the break up of her relationship with Bradley Cooper in a rare moment of public reflection.
The 34-year-old model has kept reasonably quiet about the split from Hollywood actor and director Bradley, 45, after they parted ways under intense media speculation about his relationship with A Star Is Born co-star, Lady Gaga.
Speaking to British Vogue, Irina said that she feels "very lucky" to have spent four years with Bradley, which brought their daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, who is now two years old.
The pair met in 2015, with their relationship coming to an end in June 2019 and Irina was in a reflective mood when she spoke to the magazine.
Irina said: "I think we’ve been very lucky to experience what we had with each other."
She went on to say that: "Life without B is new ground."
Bradley co-parents their daughter with Irina but she has admitted that being a single mum for most of the time has brought its challenges.
She said: "It’s hard to find a balance between being a single mom and being a working woman and provider.
"Trust me, there are days I wake up and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I don’t know what to do, I’m falling apart.'"
Despite her doubts about parenting, Irina remains philosophical about her break up from Bradley.
She continued: "I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst – it’s just the nature of a human being.
"Two great people don’t have to make a good couple."
Despite not getting to tie the knot with Bradley, Irina told Harper's Bazaar soon after leaving him that she still believed in marriage.
She said at the time: "Everyone looks at [marriage] differently. Do I believe in marriage? Yes, of course. I’m not the kind of person who is against it."
