This arrives after Kehlani sparks speculations that her new album ‘It Was Good Until It Wasn’t’ was about YG as one fan says, ‘Kehlani’s album is really all about her and YG’s toxic sex.’
AceShowbiz –Kehlani is currently in press run after she released her new album “It Was Good Until It Wasn’t”. Most recently, she joined “The Breakfast Club” co-hosts in a virtual interview where they talked about why she and rapper YG decided to split.
During the Friday, May 8 interview, Kehlani confirmed YG’s infidelity rumors by saying that she did see “deep” text messages on his phone. She went on revealing that she refused to get back together with the rapper despite his attempts to reconcile since she’d set some boundaries early in their relationship.
When asked if she was still in contact with the “BIG BANK” artist, Kehlani replied, “Uh, not really. The last conversation we had was the decision to be like, we do exist in the same industry and I don’t wanna have to walk in the room and someone awkwardly be like ‘you know, your ex is in here,’ then we both have weird energy with each other.”
Despite that, Kehlani insisted that they have no bad bloods with each other. “We’re not on any type of bad terms. I wish him the best, he wishes me the best. It’s nothing but love,” she shared.
This arrives after Kehlani sparked speculations that her new 15-track album, which was released on May 8, was about YG. “YG is SHAKING after he was taken off the new Kehlani album tracklist,” one fan tweeted. “Kehlani’s album is really all about her and YG’s toxic sex,” one other added.
Kehlani previously explained to Apple Music’s “R&B Now with Nadeska” that Drake helped her name her new album. “We had went to Canada to finish our, I always say ‘our’ album because I f**k with my team so heavy, like, it was me, my videographer, my little play brother that I co-write with, my assistants. So, I went to go finish the project, and the last day we went with Boi-1da and ended up going to Drake’s house.”
“We’re just having, like, a life conversation, talking about the old music, talking about what we’re both ’bout to do. And then I was just talking about [my] personal life and I was just like, ‘Man, yeah it was good until it wasn’t’ and he was like, ‘Say that s**it again,’ and I was like, ‘What?’ and he was like, ‘That’s your album.’ And I was like, ‘You might be f***in’ right.’ “
