TV star Lucy Verasamy took to Instagram last night to share a rare holiday snap with fans. The ITV weather presenter told fans she was “escaping the heatwave” by heading to stunning Scotland for a relaxing break.

In the social media snap, Lucy, who turned 40 at the weekend, could be seen drinking a cup of tea in the great outdoors, in an oversized grey jumper and leggings.

She posed for a picture on a wooden bench in front of a beautiful property and the spectacular scenery.

A moody sky was clearly visible in the holiday photo, as parts of the UK prepare for a record-breaking hot day today.

Temperatures are set to reach a blistering 37 degrees in London with the sunny weather expecting to last until Sunday.

The ITV star captioned the picture, which she shared with her 126,000 Instagram followers: “Escaping the heatwave…”

She added a series of hashtags which revealed her location.

“#summer #Scotland #northernScotland #nc500 #ad #heatwave #visitScotland #sutherland #socialdistance #secluded #secretbeaches #mountains #stunningscenery #staycation.”

Followers and fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts on the presenter’s post.
