Lydia Bright always shares the highs and lows of her experiences with motherhood as a single mother.
And speaking with her friend Kate Ferdinand, 31, on her podcast Blended, Lydia gave a rare insight into her relationship with her daughter Loretta's father.
Lydia, 32, shares her three year old daughter with ex-boyfriend Lee Cronin, and they have co-parented since they parted ways as a romantic couple when Lydia was 11 weeks pregnant.
The star said to Kate: "Me and her dad have a great relationship now, we've had our ups and downs and I'm going to be honest with that because I find that really annoying when people turn around and go, 'We've parted ways but we're the best of friends.'
"It's like, 'If you're the best of friends, you'd be together.'
She added: "There were ups and downs but we get on absolutely fine."
Lydia went on to say that she "absolutely loves doing it by herself" and it's "the best thing they aren't together" anymore.
Sharing a sneak peek of the podcast episode on her Instagram, Kate gushed over Lydia as she wrote: "Today on blended we have my lovely friend Lydia Bright."
She continued: "Oh it was such a pleasure to talk to our Lyd about being a single parent & growing up with lots of foster siblings.
"What a great role model she is and I’m such a proud friend of the amazing woman & mum she is today."
Lydia replied in the comments: "I love you, I love this chat. I hope it helps anyone facing single parenthood our inspires anyone thinking of going into fostering.
"My story, I hope you enjoy ps. I am a very hyperactive person so I talk very fast. My nickname at school was Vicky Pollard."
Kelsey Parker shared her support for Lydia and her family by writing: "Love you @lydiabright life isn’t perfect. you @xdebbietowiex & rest of The Brights are so special xxx."
It comes after the former TOWIE star shared how stressed out she was after Loretta, who is now three, was rushed to hospital after falling and hitting her head at home.
In March, Lydia said on her Instagram story: "Monday was hard, the boiler stepped, the gate broke and as grateful as I am to have a beautiful home sometimes the neverending lists with a move can feel overwhelming.
"Yesterday was worse, I ended up in A&E with Loretta she hit her head whilst climbing.
"I still cry when I think of it now [broken heart emoji] Thankfully no stitches but she had to have the wound cleaned and glued."
