Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick are heading to Broadway together to star in the first Broadway revival of Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite!
The show consists of three one-act plays with three different couples, where SJP and Matthew will play all the roles. Each of the one-acts takes place in Suite 719 at the Plaza Hotel.
“We simply love the play,” Sarah Jessica told the New York Times. “It’s most assuredly a period piece, with cultural and sexual politics that were radically different, but there are these larger themes, about marriage and disappointment and ambition and parenting and betrayal and love, that don’t hang their hat on a specific generation.”
Matthew added, “The fact that we’re married is an interesting aside, but really I’m more concerned about doing a good job, and I can’t think of anybody better for the part than my wife.”
The show will have a short run in Boston this coming February before transferring for a 17-week run at Broadway’s Hudson Theater, officially opening on April 13, 2020.
Sarah Jessica recently had to slam this story about her marriage.
