Naya Rivera’s family were on the scene at Lake Piru to identify the body of the Glee star after she went missing during a boating trip with her son, Josey.
Authorities confirmed on Monday that the body they had found in the search for the actress was Naya’s.
Members of her family were pictured going to identify her body, with her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey – Josey’s father – spotted at the lake wearing a white top and three-quarter length trousers, with a dark cap and sunglasses.
Glee stars Amber Riley, Heather Morris, Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale were previously seen holding hands with members of Naya’s family at the site where she was last seen.
Naya, 33, was best known for playing the role of Santana on the musical TV series.
After the Devious Maids star was pronounced dead, her co-stars paid tribute on social media.
Lea Michele simply posted a picture of the actress on her Instagram Stories, while Chris called her ‘one of a kind’ in a poignant message.
He said: ‘How can you convey all your love and respect for someone in one post? How can you summarise a decade of friendship and laughter with words alone?
‘If you were friends with Naya Rivera, you simply can’t. Her brilliance and humour were unmatched. Her beauty and talent were otherworldly. She spoke truth to power with poise and fearlessness. She could turn a bad day into a great day with a single remark. She inspired and uplifted people without even trying.
‘Being close to her was both a badge of honour and a suit of armour. Naya was truly one of a kind, and she always will be.’
Meanwhile Alex Newell, who played Unique Adams on Glee, described Rivera as ‘truly a star’.
He wrote on Instagram: ‘I watched her preform with such power, brilliance, and honesty.. While being a light as a person! The love she had for her family and friends was always clear!
‘She will truly be missed! Josey you are loved by all the people who love your mother! My thoughts and prayers are with her family! Rest Sweet Angel.’
