Olly Murs has admitted he was "a bit lost" before he met fitness fanatic Amelia Tank during a low time in his life.
He shared with OK!: "Yeah, I think it’s the next stage of my life. I was just one of the lads, a bit of a boy-next-door.
"I never quite found the love of my life. I was a bit lost. Now I’ve come full circle."
He continued: "Who knows what the future holds? But right now, at this present moment, everything’s great. I’m very happy."
Speaking about why he knew Amelia, 30, was The One, Essex fave Olly, 38, addressed one of his new songs on his new album, which is dedicated to their love story.
He told us: "Yeah, I wrote about it in the song I Found Her on the new album. If you’re in love and you’re happy and life’s great, there’s a moment of like, 'Even if the world was falling around us right now, I found you. I managed to meet you.
"And whatever happens now, I would be happy dying by your side.'
"That’s kind of what I Found Her is about, just that pure joy that I’ve found this person. I’m really happy. It’s a huge, big song – it hits you right in the chest. It’s like being on a roller-coaster."
Olly became engaged to Amelia after he got down on one knee back in June during a romantic getaway to Cornwall.
Looking back on his proposal, he confessed: "Oh my God, I was so nervous. It was so daunting, even though I knew she was going to say yes.
"I’m glad to have done it. When you’re proposing to anyone, you feel like it’s a real moment. But I’m so happy that I did it and it went really well."
He previously revealed the meaning behind the choice of his Cliffside proposal, telling OK! he didn't tell a soul beforehand.
"It was on top of a cliff in this little place in Cornwall. It’s a private place where her family go every year and we’ve got tons of photos there," he said.
“We were on a walk with her family, but nobody knew what I was going to do."
Olly went on: "I didn’t even speak to her dad, which I know is quite a traditional thing to do, because not many things in my life are private and this moment for me was the one thing I wanted to keep private."
He continued: "Her mum was videoing it all – she was going, ‘Oh my God, oh my God, he’s doing it!’
"It was lovely and they were over the moon.”
