Isolation Issues
As fun as it is, things are pretty full-on with homeschooling at the moment. It’s tough when you get to week seven and wonder if the schools will ever open, lol.
I’ve been speaking to my parents a lot during lockdown and in Australia a lot of people are now going back to work. Obviously there is still some confusion over the easing of lockdown here in the UK, but some have taken it to a new level. Apparently, one group of people who’ve been caught flouting the lockdown rules are doggers. The rules state you can walk your dog… anyway, I’ll leave it there!

Theo's surprise appearance
As you know, we keep my youngest two Theo and Mills out of the public eye, so it created quite a stir when Theo made a surprise appearance on Loose Women last week!
It was a pure accident and very funny. I did end up in the doghouse over it, but hey, that’s what happens with live TV and kids in the house!
Date night dreams
Amanda Holden had a romantic lockdown date with her hubby Chris Hughes in a camper van. Although we’ve not had a minute without the children, it’s definitely a good idea for the future. Hopefully travel restrictions will ease once it’s safe to do so.
It’s going to be mine and Emily’s fifth wedding anniversary this July and I’d love to take her back to Santorini, where we had our honeymoon. To be honest I’d be happy to go anywhere, I’d just love to treat her.

A close shave
After Emily gave me a clipper fade on the sides so I wouldn’t look like Moses, I was too scared to let her touch the top. So, as I was due to appear on Loose Women a few days later, I took it upon myself to use the children’s craft scissors and attempt to remove some of the length.
Let’s just say the results are confirmation that I will never be a barber like my brother Mike!
What a shambles!
Last week’s advice on easing lockdown restrictions wasn’t as clear-cut as we’d have hoped for. What everyone wanted to hear about was seeing their families, but that was completely left out of Boris’s speech.
They’ve since explained you can go and sit in the park and be two metres away from strangers, but you can’t meet your mother and father together. Huh?
Prior to Boris’s speech, it was my late brother Andrew’s birthday and I didn’t know whether I was allowed to visit him in the cemetery – I had to ask people. Although the government does lay out some rules clearly, what’s common sense for some people isn’t for others. So some jobs and trades may have been mentioned, but there were other trades that weren’t mentioned at all.
