Love Island star Laura Anderson has heartbreakingly been robbed, just months before welcoming her first child.
Laura, 34, is currently expecting her first child with actor Gary Lucy – who she split from shortly after falling pregnant – and told fans about the nightmare situation via Instagram Stories on Tuesday. Laura posted two captioned selfies, followed by a more detailed video on what happened.
Her first post read: "Someone just stole my car. Nice [thumbs-up emoji]."
She then added: "When you realise the f*****s were in your flat and took your spare key. Huge thank you to Scotland Police you guys have been amazing."
Cuddling up to her pet pooch, an unfazed Laura went on to tell the camera: "Hey gang, how's it going? Thanks for all your messages. I am actually fine. It's only a car, right?
She continued: "Hopefully the insurance will cover it. But the fact that someone's potentially been in my house when I've been away – thank you social media – erm, yeah it's scary.
"If you have a Range Rover, definitely get a Ghost or Immobiliser [tracking system]… I think that's the only way that people can't steal them," the Scottish star continued.
"I don't even want it back at this point, I just want my insurance and maybe just get a different car or something."
OK! has reached out to Laura's representative for comment.
Earlier this month, the reality TV personality told all on her pregnancy so far as she posed for an exclusive OK! photoshoot.
Discussing her separation from former Hollyoaks actor Gary, 41, Laura told us: "It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster so far. Going through a public break-up while pregnant and reading mistruths in the media has been a challenge.
"I just want to be positive and move forward, and I’m really excited about her coming along. I think if I can get through this, I can get through anything."
When asked what prompted the split, she then joked: "How long have you got?
"It's really hard to explain. I wanted us to reconcile and I wanted things to work out, but because of things I found out since then, and the fact nothing has been discussed or resolved, I think for now I’m trying to just be positive and think about the baby and be strong, because everything became too chaotic."
Gary himself confirmed to The Sun back in February that he was no longer romantically involved with Laura, although they plan to co-parent their child.
"I love Laura but we are no longer together," he said. "My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby."
