Princess Beatrice's Wedding May Be "Scaled Down" to Avoid "a Similar Embarrassment" As Princess Eugenie's

It’s officially 2020, which means we have Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi to look forward to. Unfortunately for her, though, Prince Andrew’s alleged involvement with Jeffrey Epstein continues to be an issue. And according to royal correspondent Jennie Bond, she also may have to scale back her wedding because of financial concerns.

While on the UK morning show Lorraine, Jennie suggested the family will have to “rethink the arrangements for Beatrice’s wedding” to avoid “embarrassment.” Apparently, Beatrice planned on having a ceremony similar in size and style as her sister, Princess Eugenie. However, Eugenie’s wedding caused a ton of public outrage because the security costs came at the price of taxpayers and came out to an estimated $2.6 million.

With that in mind, Jennie thought, “But there were outcries of security costs for the taxpayer and I don’t think they’ll want a similar embarrassment for Beatrice so I imagine that will be scaled down somewhat.”

Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi said; “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.”

Amid accusations against Andrew, Beatrice had to postpone her engagement party, which her dad reportedly skipped to avoid any additional scrutiny. While he’s trying to keep a low profile at the moment, he will still reportedly walk Beatrice down the aisle during her wedding ceremony, as she remains “his greatest supporter.”

Meanwhile, her mother and his ex-wife, Sara Ferguson, spoke to the Today show and made it sound like she won’t keep quiet as everything unfolds. On December 12, she said, “I won’t stand by, because I know what it feels like to have salacious lies made up about you….They are just shockingly accusatory allegations, which I don’t think is right.”

Yikes. It’s definitely going to be an interesting year for Beatrice.
