R. Kelly's Girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, and His Lawyer Are Setting the Record Straight About the Patreon Account

Joycelyn Savage is shutting down any and all rumors surrounding her relationship with R. Kelly.

The singer’s longtime girlfriend, as well as his lawyer, are now making it clear that the abuse claims she allegedly revealed on a Patreon account last month are completely false.

Although many people were convinced that Savage was the one who created the account, she has now broken her silence and fully denies that she was ever a victim of the disgraced singer.

Savage claims that the author of the Patreon page was an impersonator

The plot continues to thicken in this Patreon account drama.

On December 3, Savage finally set the record straight on— what were believed to be her claims— surrounding the whole R. Kelly sexual abuse allegations.

In a video obtained by TMZ, the 24-year-old fully denies speaking out against the “Ignition” singer as she made it clear that her loyalty lies with him alone.

“I am truly tired of all the lies that they are saying about the man we love so much and our best friend, R. Kelly,” she says in the video. “I have said before, none of that is true. It is a shame how they are treating him. It is so wrong on so many levels, and he does not deserve this.”

Savage continued on by claiming that the creation of the Patreon account was not her doing and says that it was just someone’s way of tarnishing Kelly’s name even more.

“That is not my Instagram. Someone is impersonating me,” she said “I just want everyone to know we still support him and would never betray him.”

Just last week, the aspiring singer made headlines when a post on her Instagram directed followers to the Patreon account, where she shared new revelations surrounding her relationship with Kelly.

The account had many people convinced that it was Savage

On November 23, many people were completely blindsided when Savage claimed that she would reveal new “chapters” about her life with Kelly, using Patreon.

In an Instagram post that directed fans to the Patreon page, Savage claimed that she was “risking [her] life” with the blog as she was about to detail her years of abuse at the hands of the singer.

In her first Patreon post, Savage explains how she met Kelly during one of his concerts back in 2015 and claims that he promised to help her become the model and singer she’s always wanted to be, according to Variety.

After being with Kelly for a few month, Savage claims that she started to fall in love with him but soon saw their relationship start to change.

“But it started getting worse by day by day, he would raise his voice at me if I didn’t call him by those two names [“master” or “daddy”],” it read. “If Robert called me I would have to reply with ‘Yes, daddy’ or ‘Please daddy’ he was so controlling.”

While people were happy that Savage had finally found the courage to speak up, others were a little skeptical and didn’t think these post actually came from her.

Shortly after the posts were shared, Patreon shut down the account seeing as though they were unable to verify that Savage was the author of the page.

R. Kelly’s lawyer also claims that the Patreon posts were untrue

In addition to Savage, Kelly’s attorney Nicole Blank Becker also released a statement claiming that the person behind the account was not the 24-year-old.

“Now that we know that Joycelyn Savage was NOT the person behind the stories, we know that stories told were complete fabrications,” Blank Becker said in the press release obtained by Entertainment Tonight. “Let this be the beginning of a message to the world. Just because someone says something, claims something and/or gets money for it, doesn’t mean it’s true. Those false posts and the media frenzy that ensued, are prime examples of how easy it is for the wool to be pulled over the public’s eyes.”

While many allegations have been made against Kelly this past year, Blank Becker went on to urge the public to not believe everything they come across in the media.

“Therefore, it is imperative that we all take a pregnant pause prior to believing what we hear as gospel,” the statement continued. “The phenomenon of judging people without knowing the truth, believing facts that are not checked and being quick to cast  judgement is exactly what has occurred throughout Mr. R. Kelly’s very public fight for his life. We should all strive for justice for All American people. Let this be the moment we all say, ‘A Defendant is INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty.’”
