Mother of three Sam Faiers has opened up on her relationship with her partner Paul Knightley – telling fans she hasn’t shared the same bed with him for six years.
Sam, 32, who recently welcomed her third child Edward with her boyfriend Paul, 34, said: "Me and Paul haven't shared a bed for six years. We're still in separate rooms. I'm in the spare room with Edward, who I've recently got into the cot, but he's still in the room with just me."
Sam explained to Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett on the Parenting Hell podcast that she's been sharing her bed with her children – Paul Jr, seven, Rosie, five, and Edward, eight months – ever since they were born.
"Before [youngest child] Edward came along it was just like two and two – like one adult and one child," she continued. "And we've never kind of gotten out of it."
Josh and Rob went on to ask Sam how she and Paul have managed to have two more children without sharing a bed.
"You have to be inventive I guess," the former TOWIE star laughed. "It kind of works, but it is getting a bit much now."
Sam previously spoke of their bedroom situation on her podcast with sister Billie Shepherd, telling listeners "it is fine" for her.
"Our sleeping arrangement is Paul, with Paul and Rosie in the big bed, and then I'm in their room with Edward," she shared.
"It's fine – it's not too bad. I go in the morning to get everyone up for school and big Paul is like hanging off the end of the bed."
The star continued to admit "it would be weird" if it was her and Paul sleeping in a bed together: "The bed is emperor – it's the biggest size you can get – and Paul is still hanging off the end, but we're all so used to it now. I have said to Paul, 'Can you just imagine if it was me and you in the bed together?' and it would just be so weird.
"Since having little Paul, he's going to be seven, never. In the last seven years, unless it's been a random night away just us two, we've never been on our own in the bed."
It comes after Sam gave her sister Billie some tips on being a mum of three after she welcomed her baby daughter Margot in December.
“We talk about it all the time,” Billie, 33, said of getting advice from her sibling. “She says you’ve got to take each day as it comes – and it does get easier.”
Opening up on motherhood, Billie – who is mum to Nelly, eight, Arthur, five, and baby Margot, with husband Greg Shepherd – shared with OK!: “As much as it’s been amazing, we’ve had lots of moments as well – tears, tantrums and it is a big thing adjusting any new baby into a family."
She went on to say: "You just get so bored of the sound of your own voice. You’re emotional anyway when you have a baby and it’s a massive change. You’re exhausted from the birth, so it was a lot. It’s so draining.
"I can laugh a little bit about it now, but it’s still going on. You just feel like you’re repeating yourself constantly.”
