Fans of Strictly Come Dancing will be excited to learn that the hit BBC One show is in talks with two big A-list celebrities that they have been “trying to sign for years”.
Although there were fears that the famed dancing contest might not go ahead this year due to the coronavirus pandemic insiders have confirmed that the 2020 series will be bigger than ever.
Speaking to The Sun Online, the inside source said: "Strictly bosses are actually in talks with some huge stars now the lockdown has come into effect.
"There are two A-listers in particular that bosses have been trying to sign for years who are now considering joining the show.
The source then went on to explain that actually the outbreak of Covid-19 has meant that many famous faces now have a free calendar due to work cancellations.
The insider said: "The thing is – because of the lockdown, a lot of celebs are having films, TV shows, tours and theatre bookings cancelled and Strictly is likely to go ahead – it’s a big payday and a huge, prestigious show.
"When packed schedules might have stood in the way before, now a lot of stars' calendars have opened right up."

Additionally, although the show is usually filmed with a packed live audience cheering on the celebs and their professional dance partners, it could go ahead without one in order to adhere to social distancing rules.
The source continued: "Even if the show doesn’t have a studio audience, and it’s just dancers and celebs who have been isolated for 14 days with no symptoms coming together for rehearsals – bosses are confident that they’ll have an all-star line up."
Otis Mabuse, the winner of last year’s contest alongside Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher, recently appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss the show’s future.
