She's regularly described as one of the most 'down to earth' members of the Royal Family, but now former Royal butler Grant Harrold has revealed what Zara Tindall is really like behind closed doors.
Grant, who worked for King Charles III for seven years, has opened up about his time with the Royals, sharing how Zara, 41, is "fun" and has always done things "her own way".
The former butler was even there when Zara caused uproar by getting her tongue pierced as a teenager – a moment Grant describes as "exciting".
"It was all in the press that she had her tongue pierced and it was so exciting because when she was speaking to us, I suddenly saw the tongue piercing and I was like ‘Oh, I’ve seen it’," Grant told Express.co.uk.
Zara's decision to get the piercing is a reflection of her personality and desire to do things her own way, despite being a member of the Royal Family.
"She’s down to earth, she’s fun, she’s naughty. The deal that was done back in the day was Anne didn’t want her children to have titles so they could have normal lives and do normal things, that’s what she wanted," Grant said.
He went on to recall another incident where he was asked to take Zara a can of Coca-Cola along with a glass, but she didn't want the glass and proceeded to drink straight from the can.
Elsewhere, Grant predicted Zara could follow in her husband Mike Tindall's footsteps and head into the I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.
Mike, 44, who shares daughters Mia, nine, and Lena, four, as well as three year old son Lucas with Zara, took part in the 2022 series of the hit ITV reality show and came in fourth place.
Mike is one of few Royals to have entered into the world of reality TV and he was careful not to divulge any secrets about life with the Firm while in the Australian jungle.
The butler said former rugby ace Mike did an "amazing job" in the jungle and if Zara were to follow in his TV footsteps, there's no doubt it would be "great PR for the Royal Family".
Grant predicted: "It’s really possible that we’ll see her go into the jungle and I think it will be positive if she does, I think people will like it. Even the palace might quite like it because it could be good PR."
