FILA has teamed up with LA-based concept store and streetwear brand APT.4B to bring back the “Original Tennis” sneaker. Dominating 80s street culture footwear, it is one of the most iconic silhouettes in FILA’s catalogue. Given APT.4B’s nostalgia-driven store which takes inspiration from ’90s NYC apartments, it was only right it had a hand in recreating the classic to debut their partnership.
The APT.4B Original Tennis sees the silhouette reworked in a luxe cream suede upper with FILA’s signature two-color flag across the side. The upgrade features leather linings, a die-cut EVA and a new sockliner for added comfort. APT.4B’s logo is embossed in gold on the heel under FILA’s renowned “F” symbol. In addition, the sneaker comes with two premium laces: one cream and one navy blue, both sporting metallic gold tips.
As with previous collabs, APT.4B brings the collection to life through its #APT4BWINDOWS Project. Keeping to the ’90s NYC apartment theme, its window installation will showcase a selection of vintage FILA staples alongside the collaborative sneaker.
The APT.4B x FILA “Original Tennis” is available now via the APT.4B webstore and retails for $80 USD.
