Known for evolving classic loafer silhouettes, Blackstock & Weber is back with its new lookbook for the Spring/Summer 2022 season. Titled “Getaway,” the new set of offerings explores updated fabrics and heightened constructions, while still remaining true to the brand’s core aesthetic.
Helmed by founder and creative director Chris Echevarria, the prospect of “Getaway” is to channel one’s favorite place to wind down and clear their head. For Echevarria, one of these places is Puerto Rico whose serine beaches and clear water comprise both this season’s lookbook and video. Showcased in the lookbook is the Mason Horse Bit Loafer, the Clásico Tassel Loafer and The Ellis Penny Loafer. The range of contemporary silhouettes comes to life via classic leather fabrics in onyx, chocolate and butterscotch, in addition to warm-hued animal print fabrics.
A standout of the SS22 offerings is the debut of the Palomino II loafer. As an updated version of the first Palomino loafer, the new edition comes decked out in a spotted pony hair upper and a gold-plated horse bit. Finishing off the shoe is a Goodyear-welted sole and gold embossed branding. Just like its predecessor, the Palomino II’s are sure to sell out quickly upon their release on Friday, April 29 at 12 p.m. ET.
