Bristol Studio has carved out its own lane in the world of streetwear for fusing basketball and Japanese influences into quality garments. And to ring in the new year, the Los Angeles-based label is further advancing its apparel line with a brand new Reversible Sweatsuit release. Since debuting in 2021, the cozy set has dropped in neutral gray and black colorways, and now it’s arriving in a brand new navy palette.
From afar, the matching pullover hoodie and sweatpants might appear plain, but it’s packed with unique details. Bristol Studio doesn’t take any shortcuts or even execute the most cost-efficient methods of production, but that’s what makes the brand special. For these pieces, they developed their own heavyweight French Terry fabric from scratch and woven it to form two-way staples. It is devised with 20 Japanese grosgrain tabs, 4 sport zippers, and a heavyweight drawcord. Various shades of navy alternate between the base of the hood, sleeves and pockets on the hoodie as well as the pockets and top/undersides of the sweatpants.
Look for the Bristol Studio Reversible Sweatsuit “Navy” to release via the imprint’s website on January 13. Prices are as follows: $195 USD for the hoodie and $185 USD for the sweatpants.
In case you missed it, Hypebeast interviewed the brand’s founder Luke Tadashi for our Sole Mates series.
