CELLUTANE is taking inspiration from the Sizzlipede Pokémon for its latest creation, the Sizzlipede Zaisu.
The Japanese furniture maker’s newest chair fuses the design of the Fire/Bug Pokémon and the functionality of the traditional Japanese zaisu chair, which is normally placed flat on the floor. The Sizzlipede Zaisu arrives with the color scheme of the Sizzlipede and its facial and physical features, and can be adjusted at three points with 42 angles for the backrest, 14 for the headrest and 11 for the footrest.
This marks the first zaisu in the collaborative partnership between CELLUTANE and Pokémon; the two previously linked up for armrest chairs designed after Snorlax, Ditto, Gengar and Slowpoke.
CELLUTANE and Pokémon’s Sizzlipede Zaisu is available to order via the CELLUTANE webstore for ¥14,990 JPY (approximately $100 USD).
Elsewhere in design, Teenage Engineering’s latest design os a $250 USD aluminum toy car.
