London-based sneaker store Footpatrol and the iconic rock n roll band The Rolling Stones are both celebrating big birthdays this year — 20 and 60, respectively. In honor of their joint anniversaries and the Stones’ SIXTY 2022 tour, the two have come together to create a collaborative merchandise collection celebrating the band’s roots in rock.
With a campaign that’s centered around a custom drum kit that combines the Footpatrol scroll with the John Pasche-penned Lips and Tongue logo, we find a short and sweet capsule that comprises T-shirts, sweaters, and a few little extras such as dual-branded drumsticks. Tees are adorned with everything from the band’s “Access Guest” graphic that sits alongside the UK and French-flag rework of the aforementioned Lips and Tongue logo, as well as a photo of the band.
Elsewhere, archival imagery taken of the band throughout its six decades of existence makes up the rest of the T-shirts, while a “Heather Grey” athletic crewneck taps into crew uniforms with apt branding throughout.
Footpatrol’s collaboration with The Rolling Stones can be seen above and will drop exclusively on the former’s website on July 16 at 8 a.m. BST/3 a.m. EST.
