There are not many people who would choose to spend a summer holiday with their ex.
But Gary Lineker and his ex-wife Danielle Bux have remained great pals since their split in 2016.
Now, it looks like they enjoyed some quality time chilling in the sunshine together as they lazed around on an Ibiza beach.
The Match of the Day presenter, 62, kicked his shoes off and wore some beige shorts and a brown T-shirt for the beach day.
Meanwhile, the 44-year-old actress and model looked the epitome of beach-chic as she rocked a simple maroon bikini and some fab sunnies as she waded out into the sea.
Another snap showed the pair relaxing together on sun loungers looking perfectly at ease on holiday together, and with their kids.
Indeed, the football pundit previously described Danielle as one of his ‘best mates’.
Speaking to The Mirror about their relationship post-divorce in 2019, he said: ‘Danielle and I are best mates, we still speak three times a day, we text all the time.
‘When she comes to London she stays with me, and when I go to LA I see her.’
The retired footballer admitted: ‘It’s unusual, I know, but I get the best of both worlds.’
Their seven-year marriage ended with claims that Danielle wanted more children while Gary was content with his lot.
Before Danielle, the TV personality was married to first wife Michelle Cokayne for 20 years until 2006.
They share four sons – George, 27, Harry, 25, Tobias, 23, and Angus, 22.
Meanwhile, Danielle has 20-year-old daughter Ella from a previous relationship, and while Gary’s relationship status is thought to be single, the model is married to lawyer Nate Greenwald.
With Nate, Danielle welcomed their daughter Romy in 2017.
Gary explained his singledom back in 2019, when he told The Mirror: ‘I’ve been married most of my adult life. I had two great marriages, but I’m enjoying doing what I want when I want, no issues.
‘Maybe it’s a bit selfish, but I intend to stay that way for a while, although who knows.’
In an interview with The Sun in 2020, Gary confirmed that he was ‘singlely-singley-single-single’.
He added: ‘I’m very single, especially in lockdown. Even the sight of a female is very rare.’
But this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, as the star previously admitted he wasn’t that bothered about sex.
Chatting to The Times Magazine, he said: ‘It’s a stupid and horrible thing to say in a way, but I’m not massively into sex.
‘I quite like flirting a little bit. Going on a date and then, yes, come on, let’s do it. Do we really have to do all that? So I’ve hardly had any dates.’
