Gwyneth Paltrow shouts out husband and ex Chris Martin in Father's Day post

Gwyneth Paltrow showed some love to her former husband Chris Martin in celebration of Father’s Day on Sunday.

The 50-year-old actress posted adorable snaps of her ex-partner to her Instagram story along with pictures of the children she shares with him.

Gwyneth and the Coldplay frontman, 46, are parents to their daughter Apple, 19, and son Moses, 17.

They were married for 13 years after tying the knot in 2003 before calling things off and separating in 2014, divorcing officially two years later in 2016.

On her social media, the Iron Man star shared a family photo of the singer with their two children and captioned the post: ‘And happy fathers day to this guy [sic],’ with a blue love heart emoji.

She also pressed send on an adorable shot of her son Moses leaning into his popstar dad Chris and tagged the teenager.

In among the tributes, the A-lister nodded to her current partner Brad Falchuk who she married in 2018.

Posting multiple pictures of the co-creator of Glee and American Horror Story, she added the words: ‘Happy Fathers Day to our Brad Falchuk. He is the greatest. Great dog dad. Great step dad [sic].’

Gwyneth finally paid tribute to her own father Bruce Paltrow with a vintage shot of the pair standing on the ‘stoop of [their] townhouse on 92nd st circa 1987 [sic]’.

The star and the father of her children remained close friends following their separation and have often been praised for their co-parenting style.

In 2020, the actress opened up about splitting from the A Sky Full of Stars singer and told Drew Barrymore: ‘It’s so interesting because in a way my divorce and my relationship with Chris now is better than our marriage was. So I do think that it can be done.

‘We’re all part good and part bad. It’s not binary. We’re all gray area. We’re all trying our best. And I really wanted my kids to not be traumatized if it were possible.

‘Chris and I committed to putting them first, and that’s harder than it looks ’cause some days you really don’t want to be with the person you’re getting divorced from. But if you’re committed to having family dinner then you do it.

‘And you take a deep breath, and you look the person in the eye, and you remember your pact and you smile, and you hug and you make a joke and you just re-commit to this new relationship that you are trying to foster.’
