Across recent years, Nike and Jordan Brand have celebrated Chinese New Year with thematic takes across both brands’ popular footwear silhouettes. Looking ahead to 2024, the Year of the Dragon is serving as inspiration for many sneakers, including the Air Jordan 1 Low OG, Air Jordan 38 and Nike KD4. Adding to the festivities, an official breakdown of another Chinese New Year-themed pair has just surfaced — featuring the Air Jordan 1 Low.
The special arrangement starts with a white leather base that is joined by a rich red at the tumbled leather overlays. From there, gold enlivens the look at the textured Swooshes, tongue branding and the Wings logo at the heel. Supporting the sneaker, a stitched white midsole is backed by a semi-translucent gray outsole. However, that’s not all for this pair as the shoe comes with its own Jumpman-stamped red envelope and a thematic silver bracelet to go with the Chinese New Year-themed golden shoe box.
We’ve yet to receive official word from Jordan Brand regarding when this Air Jordan 1 Low “Chinese New Year” will touch down on shelves. Stay tuned for updates as it’s likely to arrive at the beginning of 2024 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $125 USD.
