Every year, Jordan Brand travels overseas to execute a special streetball tournament activation in Paris, France titled “Quai 54.” And to coincide with all of its hoops excitement, Michael Jordan’s eponymous imprint will unload special footwear products to align with the event. This year, the Jumpman team has readied fresh iterations of models like the Jordan Luka 1, Air Jordan 1 Utility Stash and Air Jordan 7, the latter of which has finally been officially revealed.
In a similar fashion to the collection from 2021, this latest installment overtly nods to the colors of France. This Air Jordan 7 — a silhouette that is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary this year — leans on a “Neutral Indigo” hue to envelop its buttery suede toe boxes, quarter panels and collar windows as well as the nubuck panels that surround them. “Bright Crimson” accents are also spotted on the high-cut kicks as they poke out through the Jumpman logos on the collars, Jordan lettering on the tongues and the “23” embellishments on the heels. Extra nods to the basketball festivities can be found through the “Quai 54” branding on the heel tabs as well as the co-branded insoles.
Given that the event is set to take place on July 9 and 10 this year, it’s likely that these will be dropping soon.
