R&B’s Lucky Daye has returned with a new single, “That’s You.” The track arrives as his first release of the year, following his third studio album Candytrip and its deluxe edition, both of which dropped in 2022.
For the single, Daye linked up with another force in the R&B space: Bruno Mars. Rather than appearing on the song, however, Mars served as its co-writer and producer.
“I sang my heart out on “That’s You.” I felt like I was on the moon,” Daye said. “I want people to think about that one person they just can’t be without when they listen. Hopefully, that person is a good person.”
“That’s You” was accompanied by an official music video directed by Nick Walker. Set in New Orleans, the visual sees Daye go on a journey of finding sacrifices for the siren woman who holds his heart.
