Historically, Activision Blizzard has launched a new Call of Duty title each year, effectively pressing the reset button on progress made in the franchise. However, for the transition from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II to Modern Warfare III, a new approach is being employed.
Shortly after unveiling the new title, Call of Duty has shared that previously unlocked cosmetics in Modern Warfare II will be brought over to Modern Warfare III. This unprecedented step for the franchise enables fans to establish an evolving repertoire of looks that will hopefully continue in future games. Some exclusions are applicable, as outlined in the official blog post, with limited release camos and gear not found in Modern Warfare III excluded.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is arriving on November 10, likely via the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC, however, this remains unconfirmed. Stay tuned for more updates as Activision Blizzard is set to announce more details pertaining to the title during August 17th’s reveal event.
