Shortly after having its release date moved up to June 16, 2023, the long-anticipated The Flash movie now has a new poster and a series of promotional artwork. Earlier this year an official release was uncertain, but with DC Studios‘ restructuring, the film was given a June 23, 2023 release date and has now been pushed forward to likely avoid the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, coming June 30, 2023.
Unveiled at CCXP 2022, DC Studios delivered a poster teasing the interconnected nature of the flashpoint storyline to be introduced with The Flash and promotional artwork showing the look of the hero. Aside from showing a more comic-accurate upgraded suit, we interestingly get a first look at what is currently dubbed the “improvised suit.”
From the circular batman logo, it is theorized that Barry Allen/Flash, played by Ezra Miller, is forced to repurpose one of Michael Keaton‘s Batman suits after being stranded in the alternate universe. The repainted “improvised suit” features caution tape details, elbow pads, gloves, and the ears on the cowl snapped off.
Check out the new poster and promotional artwork for The Flash below. The Flash releases officially in theaters June 16, 2023.
