Sierra Leone-born, London-based creative Ib Kamara has grown into himself at Off-White™, seeing him experiment with street-heavy designs without losing sight of Virgil Abloh‘s fashion legacy. His Fall/Winter 2023 debut referenced Abloh’s signature House codes inside an intergalactic universe that mimicked otherworldly planets, looking to the future while horning the past for Pre-Fall 2024.
Pre-Fall 2024 marks the final collection before Off-White™’s return to Paris Fashion Week in February. The Art & Image Director examines Abloh’s founding pillars, embodying the optimistic energy that defined Off-White™’s 2012 launch.
The co-ed range is a luxurious interpretation of contemporary streetwear archetypes grounded in impeccable craftsmanship and modern styling. Models walk through vacant offices with determination, opening the collection in military-style suiting with fur-trimmed collars and ornamented headgear. Dapper travelers head to the future in blooming menswear with pinned roses while cascading leaves gently fall from genderless pinstriped uniforms.
Satin varsity jackets come alive in pastel pink hues, complemented by tonal Off-White™ initials and dim-lit floral trousers. Anchored logos clasp onto embroidered designs destined for the streets, seeing Parisian checkered patterns receive a new lease on life in red and blue. Acid-washed trench coats and off-shoulder designs complete the collection with Japanese motifs that mirror Kamara’s research phase.
