Last weekend, Primavera Sound 2023 shut down Barcelona — but there’s no FOMO here, as the CUPRA-sponsored festival is heading to Madrid. Commencing June 7 and coming to a close on June 11, the Madrid festival echoes much of the antics that occurred in Barcelona, and Hypebeast was there to experience them firsthand.
With the CUPRA x Boiler Room stage as our base, we had plenty of live DJ moments to get the nights going. From Mura Masa to Yves Tumor, to more underground names that blasted everything from garage and techno to reggaeton, CUPRA’s set-up was the perfect place to get ready for the night ahead.

From this point forward, world-class acts donned their stages. Barcelona’s hometown hero Rosalía, UK DJ and producer fred again.. (as well as Four Tet and Skrillex), Calvin Harris, Kendrick Lamar, Depeche Mode, Blur, Halsey, New Order, Central Cee, Loyle Carner, Christine and the Queens, Måneskin, The War on Drugs, Charlotte de Witte, Arlo Parks, Jayda G, Sevdaliza, PinkPantheress, and Darkside were just the start.
Such diversity is Primavera Sound’s key to success, and now the majority of these acts and many more are set to take over Madrid for another weekend of (almost all-day) hedonism. Expect a line-up sure to satisfy music heads of all flavors, as well as the Brunch Electronik take over which marks the final day of the festival with Camelphat, Diplo, and others sending the party off in true Spanish style.
A variety of ticket options, from single days to full festival experience packages, are available to buy via the Primavera Sound website now. Here, you will also find all you need to know about the full line-up, as well as its upcoming events in Porto, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Bogatá, Asunción, and Benidorm.
