Ahead of Watches and Wonders 2023, Belgian watch manufacturer Ressence offered a first look at a new iteration of its feathery Type 8 watch with a sage green dial. The new timepiece is titled Type 8 S, with the “S” referring to its sage tones.
Shaped like a UFO, major elements remain the same as the original “Cobalt Blue” model introduced last year with the Type 8 S found in a 42.99mm titanium case measuring 11mm thick and weighing in at just 42 grams. The case arrives in both polished and matte finishes while the gray leather strap is fitted with titanium hardware.
Type 8 utilizes the ROCS-8 automatic movement, incorporating two rotating discs in a way in which the “hands” never overlap one another on its domed dial. Upon closer inspection, instead of standard hands, all markings are luminescent engravings. The watch is wound by rotating the caseback with a full power reserve amounting to 36 hours.
The Ressence Type 8 S will be available in May for ₣12,500 CHF (approximately $13,585 USD). Look for more releases from Ressence in the coming days at Watches and Wonders 2023.
