Strictly Come Dancing’s Neil Jones and Love Island’s Chyna Mills are expecting their first child together!
Not only that but in even more adorable news, they’re engaged too.
The pro dancer and reality star have been dating for seven months and have walked many red carpets together, as well as packed on the PDA on social media.
And now they’re set to take two major steps in their relationship, with their baby due in autumn.
Neil, 40, and Chyna, 24, – who is 13 weeks pregnant – confirmed the news with a romantic photoshoot for Hello! Magazine, showing off her blossoming bump.
‘After the baby news, we were on cloud nine – and now this. It still doesn’t feel real,’ influencer and wife-to-be Chyna said.
On his proposal, Neil said: ‘I’d already planned to ask Chyna to marry me before we knew she was pregnant. Then we found out and I was like, “Oh, this is brilliant, everything is coming together”.’
Chyna added: ‘At first, I thought he was joking because we play jokes on each other all the time.
‘Then Neil was like, “Chyna, so is it a yes or no?”, because a few minutes had passed and he was still on one knee. I was like… yeah!’
Neil – a former British, European, and world champion – managed to keep his proposal plans top secret, but he did confide in TV presenter and former Strictly contestant Tyler West, who was among the first to find out their happy news.
‘We FaceTimed him, then said, “We just sent you something on WhatsApp” – it was a picture of the baby scan. He looked and said, “I’m going to cry, this is everything… I’m gonna be that crazy Jamaican uncle.” It was the best reaction,’ Neil gushed.
Neil – who was previously married to fellow Strictly dancer Katya Jones – got to know Chyna last summer after she appeared on the ITV2 dating show.
It’s said that Neil watched the show while on the Strictly Tour, and Chyna caught his eye.
But, they aren’t planning on rushing things when it comes to the wedding, as they want to ensure a special someone is there to walk down the aisle with them.
‘We thought it would be cute if the baby can be walking around at the wedding,’ Neil shared.
Neil and Katya were previously together for 11 years and got married in 2013, but divorced in 2019, shortly after she made headlines with her snogging scandal with Seann Walsh.
But, the exes have remained both close friends and dance partners, and Katya also congratulated Neil and Chyna on their baby news.
After sharing their announcement on social media, the overjoyed couple and parents-to-be were also inundated with congratulatory messages from a wealth of other stars.
‘Congratulations 🤍’, commented 2022 Love Islander Gemma Owen, while Dami Hope added: ‘Omg congratulations times x2 😭🥹❤️ what a wholesome moment’.
‘Congratulations guys 🫶🏽’, wrote Luca Bish.
