On April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson broke baseball’s color line when he started at first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers. To celebrate the 75th-anniversary of the MLB trailblazer, Nike is set to release a special Dunk Low.
Featuring classic Dodgers colors, the Nike Dunk Low “Jackie Robinson” features off white tone upper bases accented by contrasting blue overlays marked with his quote, “I’m not concerned with your liking or disliking me. All I ask is that you respect me as a human being.” Additional detailing comes with felt Swooshes, his number (#42) at the heels, special tongue tags and the same quote on the insoles. Finishing up the design of the shoe are baseball stitch design laces, white midsoles with blue stitching and black rubber outsoles.
The Nike Dunk Low “Jackie Robinson” is now set to release April 15.
