20 years after the release of The Room, infamous film figure Tommy Wiseau is now set to return with his new project, Big Shark. Sharing the same if not worse production quality, the upcoming release has now received a new trailer.
Already receiving a trailer back in 2019, Big Shark is now set to finally hit theaters. The trailer for the independent film starts with scenes of some questionable boxing accompanied by title cards that make it extremely apparent that Wiseau put the film together. The film’s tagline then appears reading, “YOU CAN RUN, YOU CAN HIDE, BUT THAT WON’T SAVE YOU.”
The rest of the nearly two-minute-long trailer shares that the world “THE WORLD’S MOST VICIOUS HUNTER” has come to New Orleans and scenes show Wiseau and The Room co-star Greg Sestero running from a massive CGI shark. Confusingly, the rest of the trailer is an underwear commercial for Wiseau-branded briefs.
Watch the trailer above and look for Big Shark, written, produced, directed, and starring Tommy Wiseau, to hit theaters next month. Big Shark will be shown at Cinema 21 (Portland, Oregon) April 2, Prytania Theatres at Canal Place (New Orleans, Louisiana) April 28-29, Balboa Theatre (San Francisco, California), May 5-6, Landmark Westwood (Los Angeles, California) June 2-3, Village East by Angelika (New York, New York) August 10-12.
