“The Sandlot” was actually Tom Guiry’s very first film role! Following the 1993 movie’s release, he landed a role in the 1994 children’s film “Lassie” then graduated to more adult flicks like “Black Hawk Down” and “Mystic River” in the ’00s. Over the last decade, he’s appeared in films like “The Revenant” in 2015 and most recently had a role in the Netflix film “The Unforgivable” in 2021. These days, he reportedly resides in New Jersey with his wife, Janelle, and his three kids.

Mike Vitar portrayed cool guy Benjamin Franklin “Benny” Rodriguez, the leader of the group who encouraged Scotty Smalls to join them.

Mike Vitar, seen here in 2014, retired from acting in 1997 — just four years after “The Sandlot” debuted. But before he left the business, he notably appeared in two of the “Mighty Ducks” sequels, “D2: The Mighty Ducks” and “D3: The Mighty Ducks.” In 2002, he transitioned careers completely, becoming a firefighter. He continues in the position to this day and now resides in Los Angeles.

Patrick Renna brought the comic relief as one of more memorable characters in “The Sandlot” — catcher Hamilton “Ham” Porter.

Patrick Renna has continued to work as an actor, most notably on shows like “Boston Legal” and “Bones” — and he played Cupcake on Netflix’s “GLOW.” The actor is also a busy father of two these days who shares snapshots of his family life on Instagram — including a pic of himself coaching his son’s T-ball team.

Shortstop Michael “Squints” Palledorous was played by Chauncey Leopardi in “The Sandlot.” He infamously had a crush on lifeguard Wendy Peffercorn and even faked drowning so he could receive mouth-to-mouth from her.

Chauncey Leopardi stayed busy in Hollywood with film appearances in another kids flick, “Casper,” to stints on popular TV series like “7th Heaven,” “Freaks and Geeks” and “Gilmore Girls.” He was also the only original cast member to reprise his “Sandlot” role and appear in the 2007 film “The Sandlot: Heading Home.” The actor told People magazine in 2018 that he’d largely left Hollywood behind, sharing, “I have a family as well… I spend most of my time being a dad and a husband, a business owner, just working hard doing my thing.”

Marley Shelton went on to find success on the big screen, following up “Sandlot” with roles in other popular ’90s and ’00s films like “Pleasantville,” “Never Been Kissed,” “Sugar and Spice,” “Sin City” and “Grindhouse.” She also joined the “Scream” franchise for 2011’s “Scream 4” and more recently appeared in the franchise’s 2022 installment. The actress is married to producer Beau Flynn, with whom she shares two daughters, West and Ruby.

Following “The Sandlot,” Shane Obedzinski didn’t work much as an actor. Prior to the film, he had a role in “My Girl” and a stint on “Clarissa Explains It All,” but he left Hollywood behind in the ’90s. He opened up to People magazine back in 2018, sharing that he settled in Tampa, Florida, where he owns a pizza place, Times Square Pizza Company.

Brandon Quintin Adams had already made a name for himself as a child actor with a role in another popular sports franchise, “The Mighty Ducks,” then returned with an appearance in “D2: The Mighty Ducks.” He also popped up on a few episodes of “Sister, Sister” and “Moesha.” More recently, Brandon narrated Peacock’s 2021 series “The Resort.” These days, aside from occasional acting roles, he’s mainly a devoted dad and family man, as he told People magazine in 2018.

Marty York played the team’s third baseman, Alan “Yeah-Yeah” McClennan.

“The Sandlot” was Marty York’s first movie, and he followed it up with a stint on “Boy Meets World” and a string of other TV roles including a voice part on “Hey Arnold!” He opened up to NBCLX in 2021 about a car accident that changed his life, leading him to switch gears and work mainly in the world of personal training. These days, he’s passionate about fitness, active on Instagram and sells shoutouts on Cameo.

Victor DiMattia appeared in a few projects following his time in “The Sandlot,” like the TV movie “Children of the Dark” in 1994 and the show “The Peaceable Kingdom” from 1989 until 1995… after which he left the business for a while. He returned to Hollywood in 2018, appearing in the movie “Get Married or Die” that year and “Death Rider in the House of Vampires” in 2021. He’s active on Instagram and frequently does “The Sandlot” meet and greets.

Grant Gelt was the team’s second baseman, Bertram Grover Weeks.

Grant Gelt only worked in Hollywood a few more years following “The Sandlot,” appearing on popular teen series like “Saved by the Bell: The New Class,” “Boy Meets World” and the sitcom “Empty Nest.” He also lent his voice to an episode of “Hey Arnold!” These days, he’s reportedly settled in Nashville where he works as a branding and marketing executive.

Denis Leary was already a well-known comedian before he joined the cast of “The Sandlot,” and his star in Hollywood only burned brighter after the film’s release. Aside from roles in flicks like “The Amazing Spider-Man” and its sequel and the “Ice Age” franchise, Denis also carved out a successful TV career for himself. He nabbed two Emmy nominations for his show “Rescue Me” in the ’00s and more recently appeared on the FX series “Animal Kingdom.” He’s been married to Ann Lembeck, with whom he shares two children, since 1989.
