Regional markings, traditional calligraphy, and rare branding are surefire ways to make a Rolex that little bit more special, and Wind Vintage has found quite the doozy. In the vein of the Domino’s Pizza-stamped Rolex Air King, the Supreme Rolex Submariner, or the various models bearing the crests of heads of states, now comes this Honda-branded Rolex Date reference 15000.
The watch in question is the second-known example in existence, and is made from stainless steel all around. On the face, we find Honda’s logo printed in its signature block-caps red-hued manner, while classic Rolex markings grace the rest of the face. The crown emblem decorates the winder on the side, while on the rear the Honda magic continues.
Here, “Honda Bowl ‘85” has been engraved onto the back, denoting that the watch was given to the winner(s) of this Honda dealer sales competition. The 34mm, quickset-equipped, crystal-faced example has sat in the box and has never been worn since it was given to the original owner.
Take a look at the Honda Rolex Date ref. 15000 above, and head over to Wind Vintage to find out more. It is listed for $25,000 USD.
In related news, Rolex’s certified pre-owned program has launched in the United States.
