After announcing an official release date, Activision is gearing up to unveil a “worldwide reveal” of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II on June 8, according to a new teaser.
The new “Ultimate Team” visual does not reveal too much about the forthcoming title, though it does feature members of the international spec ops unit Task Force 141 preparing for battle. Activision previously confirmed several characters that will play substantial roles in the game, including John “Soap” MacTavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley.
The upcoming Call of Duty game will arrive as a sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which served as a reboot to the developer’s 2007 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the first-ever Modern Warfare title.
The upcoming reveal will likely provide a first look at gameplay and additional information on the various game modes. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, which Infinity Ward art director Joel Emslie has called one of the most “ambitious, beautiful, bombastic, melt-your-face-off game Infinity Ward has ever created,” will launch on October 28 for PC and consoles.
