The Bloodline finally crumbled on SmackDown and the WWE landscape will never be the same.
For years now, Roman Reigns has manipulated Jimmy and Jey Uso to do his bidding as the Head of the Table, but the Tribal Chief was laid out on Friday night to reignite what could be one of WWE’s most intense rivalries.
Everything came to a head at the end of the show as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion returned and insisted Jey was meant to be the one to keep The Bloodline on top.
Jimmy questioned why his twin would believe a word Roman says, while it emerged he was the only one opposing Jey being christened the Right Hand Man.
In an incredibly emotional moment, Jey revealed he has been trying to escape his brother’s shadow their whole lives.
For a moment, it looked like The Usos were going to split until Jey turned things around, saying: ‘Guess what? You’re out… and I’m out too!’
With that, he laid out Roman with a huge Superkick, with the twins fighting off younger brother Solo Sikoa, and then rocking the Tribal Chief with another Superkick for good measure.
It’s unclear what the next move is, but WWE could do worse than run The Usos vs. Roman and Solo in London at Money In The Bank on July 1 – the reaction would be off the charts.
Pretty Deadly earn tag team title shot, Bianca Belair roasts Charlotte Flair and more
The show kicked off with a Gauntlet Match to determine the next challengers for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles.
The Brawling Brutes duo Ridge Holland and Sheamus were on a roll early on in the bout, first overcoming the Street Profits, The O.C., the Latino World Order and then utterly decimating Hit Row.
They fell to rising stars Pretty Deadly, who earned a massive win to set themselves up to face Sami and KO on SmackDown in London on June 30.
The EST of WWE interrupted proceedings and staked her claim for a match against Asuka for the WWE Women’s Title, with the Queen questioning if she was worthy for not winning the title 14 times.
However, Bianca pointed out that she was the longest running Women’s Champion of the modern era and didn’t need that many to do so, before vowing to be at ringside for Flair’s match with Asuka in two weeks time.
In an all too brief match, Karrion Kross – using a new finishing move – and SCarlett picked up a win over The O.C.’s AJ Styles and ‘Michin’ Mia Yim.
Santos Escobar and LA Knight laid out their motivations for winning Money In The Bank, before the LWO star earned a surprise victory over the loudmouth with a victory roll.
Knight went on the attack after the bell until Rey Mysterio made the save, potentially laying out out the rising star’s next storyline – with or without the Money In The Bank briefcase.
WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
