Pack away your floaty hemlines and raffia bags — autumn officially starts today. Last year, block bright knits and patterned trousers took centre stage for the season, but this year it’s a palette of khaki, burnt orange and chocolate.
Thanks to Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director at Dior, who championed khaki chiffon dresses, and American designer Tom Ford with his olive satin trousers, the High Street has taken note.
Heading to work? Why not team a leopard neckerchief with a white shirt? Or, for a party look, match your strappy sandals with statement earrings.
