What's the newest iPhone?
In September 2019 Apple released three new handsets: the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The 11 is 2019's answer to the iPhone XR, which was released a year earlier and is massively popular as it offers premium features without an astronomical price tag.
The Pro and the Pro Max are Apple's premium models, which come with larger screens, better cameras and bigger batteries.
Apple also announced the a new iPhone SE last month, a more affordable version of its flagship device.
The iPhone SE 2020 looks a bit like the iPhone 8 and features a Touch ID fingerprint scanner and a A13 Bionic chipset.
What iPhone is going to be released next?
Considering new iPhones have been released every September since the iPhone 4 in 2012, it's a safe bet that 2020's new iPhones will be appearing at the same time this Autumn.
There's a number of rumours swirling about the features the latest generation of smartphone from Apple will contain.
It's been suggested that Apple will release as many as SEVEN new phones in 2020, with the new features including thinner handsets, faster wireless charging and 5G connectivity.
Plus there's rumours that the 'notch' on the face of the phone is set to be removed altogether.
When is the best time to buy an iPhone?
Every time Apple releases a new phone, each previous generation of the iPhone generally goes down in price.
For instance: the iPhone 8 was fixed at around £600 on Amazon (outside of sales periods) between November 2018 and September 2019.
Then, once the iPhone 11 was released, it suddenly dipped by more than £100, and will likely stay at around £480 until Autumn 2020.
As long as you don't HAVE to have the latest iPhone, go back a generation or two around the Apple launches and you can save yourself a bundle.
Black Friday and Amazon Prime day can also bring discounted prices away from new Apple releases.
