She’d rather be a fiancée than a wife.

Bethenny Frankel revealed that she and her fiancé, Paul Bernon, aren’t planning to get married any time soon — if at all.

“I don’t want to build a wedding,” the reality star admitted to E! News Monday.

“I love my life, I love my fiancé. He’s an amazing life partner and I don’t want to sign a contract with someone I love and I don’t want to plan a massive wedding for everybody else and not what we want.”

The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum added, “I like doing what you want, not what society wants you to do.”

The “Skinnygirl” founder, 52, also shared that she sometimes wonders why Bernon, 46, stays with her despite the constant media attention.

“I ask him, ‘Why are you here?’ and he’ll say to me, ‘I choose to be here,” Frankel explained. “He lives with a clown and he loves comedy, so that’s the answer. I’m smart and funny and he enjoys comedy and he gets the front-row seat to this clown show.”

Bernon and Frankel began dating in 2018 and he popped the question three years later.

At the time, the reality star had just finalized her divorce from her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, whom she shares daughter Bryn, 13, with. They had called it quits in 2012 after just two years of marriage.

While talking to the outlet, Frankel also dived into what it would take for her to go back to Bravo.

When asked, she simply said, “Money — an astronomical amount of money to do that. Probably like a million dollars for ‘Ultimate Girls Trip.’”

After Bravo scrapped the old “RHONY” cast and replaced it with six new women, rumors began to spread that Frankel was joining “RHUGT: RHONY.“

However, she immediately shut that down on her iHeart podcast, “ReWives.”

Frankel initially joined “RHONY” during its first season in 2008 but left three years later.

She rejoined for Season 7 in 2015 but ended up leaving for good by 2019.
