A woman who underwent a double mastectomy has explained to fans why she doesn’t plan to get reconstructive surgery.
Using the power of voice overlays, Stephanie Germino, AKA Booblessbabe on Instagram, answered a question it seems she’s asked a lot: “Why don’t you get reconstruction?”
She also used the opportunity to have a laugh as she stood topless with a glass of something in hand a voice overlay said: “Oh heck no.

"No, those girls are all boobs and no brains. I’m too busy, in a library, reading books with dust on them.”
She of course added she was kidding, but the light-hearted take on the matter served to point out how she really felt about it and reminded fans of her brand of self-love.
Writing a caption for the clip she said: “I had to have fun with this audio.
“Again, just to reiterate, idgaf what elective/reconstructive surgeries anyone does with their body.
“My personal choices are my own. This was just for sh*ts and gigs lol”.
Stephanie had her breasts removed at the age of 28 because she had a precancerous genetic mutation.
Since her double mastectomy, Stephanie has posted a huge array of inspirational content about her journey.

Her fans love it too, with people regularly filling in her comments with words of support, admiration and thanks.
On this particular clip it was no exception, with one person saying: “It's America, be who you are, not what they tell you to be."
“The idea of having someone comment on what you should do with your body is absolutely mind-boggling,” said another.
“Everyone’s journey is different and no two decisions are the same, I’m on a similar journey and have decided if the moment came I will not reconstruct my breast.”
Others could barely contain their excitement, with one saying: “Ohhhh heck yessssss!!!! This is what I’m talking aboutttt ahhhhhhh”.
